OUR VALUES

The Click is composed of unique individuals whose interests vary but whose values align.
Though it is difficult to write one simple statement that encompasses all that this group
​believes and hopes for, we can uniformly agree on the following:

1. Dance and the pursuit of creative expression should be and can be for everybody and every body.
2. All identities are valid and valuable, and deserve to be explored and defined freely without persecution. This includes, but is certainly not limited to, racial, ethnic, physical, sexual, and gender identities.
3. Rigor can take many forms - physical, mental, and beyond. Challenging and redefining rigor in all of its forms is critical to the consistent emotional evolution of our society.
4. We have a responsibility to share the joy and empowerment of dance and physical expression with student dancers. Demystifying the professional contemporary dance industry for students and audience alike is paramount to the survival and sustainability of the form.
5. Collaboration is key to the success of any organization, as is recognizing the power of individual voice in conjunction with the power of collective presence.
