EDGE OF AQUARIUS
Alexandria Nunweiler

Picture

Edge of Aquarius will explore the rituals, controversies, history, and anxieties that plagues modern birthdays. Using original interviews as well as historical documents, this piece will take a microscope to the aging process and milestone birthdays. There will be cake involved.

Thank you to The Farmland in Wakefield, MA for providing cakes and treats for showings, performances, and workshops associated with Edge of Aquarius!

Experience Edge of Aquarius

Edge of Aquarius is currently in development. As part of our research and development process, we hosted a series of Dance & Cake workshops. These community movement parties took place across the Boston area and brought participants into the land of games and fun that we've been exploring in our creative process. If you would like to experience Edge of Aquarius' Dance & Cake: A Community Movement Party, reach out to us! We'd love to host more of these workshops with partners near and far.

January 19-21, 2024: Edge of Aquarius premiers at The Foundry in Cambridge. Learn more via our Upcoming Events tab!

The Click creates and performs primarily on land presently known as Wilmington, Sudbury, Somerville, Cambridge, and Boston, Massachusetts. We acknowledge that these lands are the original home of the Pawtucket, Massachusett, and Nipmuc tribal nations. This land acknowledgement is a formal statement to honor, respect, recognize, and pay homage to these original stewards of these lands and their enduring relationship with the territories on which we dance today. We acknowledge the painful history of genocide, violent removal, and forceful relocation as we honor and respect the many diverse Indiginous Peoples who remain connected to this and all land in our country. We urge our audiences to take the time to educate themselves on the communities that are indigenous to the land they live and work on. We encourage all our partners to continuously learn how they may contribute to protecting and supporting indigenous peoples and practices.
